Antique French Silver Desk Set, Four Pieces Writing Tools, Dip Pen, Letter Opener, Seal, Pencil

A French Silver writing or desk set comprised of four pieces and a case. A letter opener, letter seal, pencil and a dip pen are decorated with a holly and berries motif. The dip pen has an 18k gold nib. Dress up your desk!

French, C 1890, the set is has the Boar’s head mark for .800 silver. The maker’s mark is quite small and is difficult to decipher.

Measurements; Seal 2 ¾” high, Pencil 4” long, Letter opener 8 ½” long, and Pen 6 7/8” long

Condition Report; the set is in very good condition. There are a few dings on the pencil sleeve, a dark spot on one side of letter opener blade. All are in keeping with the age and use of the item. The seal leans to one side but as you can see in the photos it does stand on its own. The seal does not have an inscription. The box is a bit worn from age. The condition has been considered in the pricing of this desk set.
