A fine French sterling silver cup and saucer in the demitasse size. The set is classic and clean in design with only a raised band on both the cup and saucer featuring Acanthus leaves. The gilt or vermeil interior is in good condition showing only a slight loss of gilt.
Hallmarked with the French sterling silver, C 1900, marked for .950 silver guarantee for French Minerve 1st standard mark. The maker’s punch is still being researched.
Measurements; saucer 4 4” diameter, cup 2 1/8” high X 2 ½ “ diameter (without handle) and weight is 88 grams or 2.8 troy ounces
