A beautiful French silver and gilt medal or award for music. One side features a Napoleonic style wreath of Laurel leaves. The other side features a shield with crown and wreath. The large medal also has a ring which enables it to hang on a ribbon or chain. Please note the chain shown in the last picture is not included and is just for a suggestion on use of the medal.
French, C 1900, marked for .800 silver and above guarantee with the Boar’s head mark. Maker’s punch is RS.
Measurements; 2” in diameter, rings add another ½” weight 59 grams
Condition Report; Very good, normal wear and a small ding or two all in accordance with age and wear. Medal has not been cleaned but if desired it should polish up very nicely.
