A vintage French silver hotel meat or food cloche. An elegant way to cover a plate of food for delivery to a diner. The lobe design adds appeal along with the ornate finial which features clusters of grapes and leaves. It could server as a cover for a small cheese service or dessert.
There are no markings on the piece which was acquired in Paris on my recent buying trip. Nice substantial weight and the plating is very good.
