An elegant antique French sterling silver fish service or ‘service à poisson’. The fish cutlery set is service for twelve with 2 piece settings totaling 24 pieces. The Belle Epoque era .950 sterling silver set is decorated with crossed ribbons and fluted bands. Classic and clean design. The spoons have a monogram en verso. The knives bear the monogram on the front side. The monogram is “W” surrounded by a decorative circle.
French sterling silver of .950 guarantee and marked for Lappara & Gabriel (LG) active 1902-1923, at 157 rue du Temple, Paris. The mark used was to denote French export/import.
