A Victorian sterling silver, leather and glass hip flask with engraved family crest. The crest is on the removable silver/gilt cup and also on the top of the cap.

A fine hip flask which is in very good condition for the sporting enthusiast. The shield or crest features a cubic arm holding a rose and a thistle.

English sterling silver, as denoted by; the Lion passant mark for sterling .925, maker’s mark for Thomas Johnson, Assay town of London, date letter mark for 1871, and Monarch’s Mark (Victoria)

Measurements; 6” high X 3 1 /4” wide, depth 1 ¼”

Condition Report; Leather, glass and silver in good condition. The screw on/off cap has a few small dents around the rim. These have been captured in photographs and grouped together in one picture.
