Antique French Sterling Silver Cup and Saucer, Chocolate or Coffee, Ravinet & Denfert

An impressive antique French sterling silver cup and saucer decorated in the Rococo manner. Delicate shells decorate the top and bottom of the cup handle. Flowers adorn the top of the cartouche which has a flowing script monogram. The coffee/chocolate cup and saucer are quite large. A most impressive set.

French sterling silver, C 1900, marked for .950 silver with the Minerve 1st Titre mark, and the maker’s punch for Ravinet & Denfert or Louis Ravinet & Charles Denfert (un trèfle/clover) 1891/1912, 83 rue du Temple, Paris

Measurements; 2 ½’ high X 5” wide—saucer 6 ¼” in diameter, 7 troy ounces

Condition Report; Very good, small dent on foot of saucer, micro scratches in accordance with the age and use of sterling
