Keep summer alive all year with these two beautifully crafted shell inspired pieces by Buccellati. Estate finds, the shells are in very good condition.
Mario Buccellati opened his first store in 1919 in Milan. He drew inspiration from nature and Renaissance motifs, His son Gianmaria Buccellati took lead of all US stores in 1970 and later opened stores in Hong Kong, France, and Monte Carlo.
The large sterling silver dish (Tridacna) is marked with 925, Buccellati and Italy. The Venus dish is only marked with Buccellati.
Measurements; larger dish 3 ¼” X 3”, small dish 1 5/8” X 1 5/8, combined weight 70 grams or 2.25 troy ounces
Condition Report; very good, they have been lightly cleaned. No dents or dings noted
