Antique French Sterling Silver Napkin Ring, Laurel Wreaths
An antique French sterling silver napkin ring made by Louis Coignet. Classic styling with raised relief featuring Laurel wreaths and ribbons. There are two wreaths one on each side with ribbon and floral work surrounding each wreath. The napkin ring has good weight at 52 grams. A very small script monogram is on one side. In very good condition with only general wear as expected for age. Marked for the French 1st standard of .950. A very handsome piece.
French, C 1900, bearing the Minerve 1st Titre mark for .950/1000. Maker’s punch is for Louis Coignet (1889 and 1893, 14 Rue Barbette, Paris)
