Antique French Silver and Mother of Pearl Knives, Set of Twelve, Dinner Size 9 3/4 Inches

A set of twelve French Mother of Pearl and silver dinner knives. The luminous handles of pearl finished off with ornate silver ferrules are in the hard to find size of 9 ¾”.

The ferrules are worked in the Louis XVI style with acanthus leaves and a bay leaf swag. This is a set that will incorporate well with other flatware and table settings.

The blades appear to have been replaced as there is no oxidation or darkening. Often Mother of Pearl and silver knives offered for sale have older blades with oxidation.

French, early 20th C, ferrules are not marked (which is not unusual)

Measurements; 9 3/4”

Condition Report; Very good, 2 handles have stable cracks in the Mother of Pearl and can be seen in the enlarge photos
