A fine French sterling silver cup and saucer in the demitasse size. The cup and saucer are worked in the Guilloche method of intricate, precise and repetitive patterns. Both the cup and saucer feature a cartouche is monogrammed and decorated with floral work and Acanthus leaves. Acanthus leave also decorate the handle.
French, C 1900 Hallmarked with the French sterling silver, marked for .950 silver guarantee for French Minerve 1st standard mark. The maker’s punch is still being researched.
Measurements; saucer 4 ½” diameter, cup 2 ¼” high X 2 ½ “ diameter (without handle) and weight is 126 gram weight or 4 troy ounces
