A 19th C brass figural inkwell in the form of two horses hooves with shoes. Quite large in size with fine details. One hoof opens to reveal an inkwell or ink pot and the other opens for storage of, stamps, clips or other small items. A center post with ring top adjoins the two. The copper ink well is removable. An excellent inkwell for your writing desk or library.
