French Sterling Silver Egg Cup, Antigue Silver Tableware
An antique French sterling silver egg cup or holder beautifully decorated in the Guilloché manner.
The cartouche on the front is beautifully monogrammed in script with the initials “SC”.
A perfectly elegant way to enjoy one’s breakfast egg.
French, mid-19th C, hallmarked with the French Minerve mark for first standard .950 (used after 1838)and the makers mark of Nicolas Vautrin who was active from 1844 till 1862.( a crescent over two stars and a pellet between the letters N and V., the two stars can be seen, the crescent is worn.)

-Condition Report, Very good, small bend on foot and a ding on one side which is shown in a close up; All in accordance with age and use.
