A set of four silver gilt menu holders in the form of horseshoes which are set on circular bases. The equestrian themed holders are an elegant way to display menu cards, or identify individual cheese/desserts. The set can also be used as card holders when used with a larger card.
Bases are weighted which can be seen in the picture showing the bottom of the menu holders. The covering is slightly rounded.
English, marked with Lion Passant mark for sterling, Anchor mark for the assay town of Birmingham, L&S for maker Levi & Salaman, date letter I and M for 1910 and 1911.
Measurements; 2” high, circular base measures 1 5/8” . Due to weighted bases, it is not possible to give an accurate weight.
