Antique French Silver Napkin Ring, Foliate Motifs, Ribbons and Bows
Beautiful antique French sterling silver napkin ring with foliate decoration, bows and ribbons. A blank medallion on the front is a perfect place for engraving your monogram. I have included enlarged pictures so you can see the fine details of the garlands and flowers.
French silver of .800 content as denoted by the French Minerve or Minerva hallmark. You can just barely see the number 2 below the chin of the Minerve. The maker’s mark is worn from polishing and time. I would estimate the napkin ring to have been produced late 1800’s to early 1900’s.
Measurements; 1 5/8” high and 2” in diameter, weight 26 grams
Condition Report; Very good, no splits or damage to note. Slightly out of round, a few nicks on the edges and some tarnish still remains. All in accordance with age and use.
